A 57-year-old resident of Iitananga village in Okaku allegedly shot and killed his 29-year-old son on Saturday night over a cellphone charger.

It is alleged that the son came home on that fateful night and asked for a cellphone charger, after which an argument erupted between him and his mother.

He then allegedly attacked both parents.

His father, it is alleged, shot at him four times, hitting the 29-year-old twice while also hitting a 25-year-old neighbor, who was at the scene, on the leg.

The son died instantly, while the condition of the injured female neighbor is described as stable.

The suspect has been arrested and is expected to appear in the Ondangwa Magistrate's Court on Monday.
