With the discovery of oil in Namibia, local students are going abroad to pursue qualifications in the oil and gas sector.

But with Namibia's oil industry still in its infancy graduates, like Klaudia Kamati are still waiting for their dream jobs.

Kamati who is new in the industry says she is facing a challenge with a lack of job opportunities. She says given the direction in which the country is heading, it's a great idea to appreciate the skills in the market with the view of building capacity into the future, regardless of the situation.

Kamati who has various qualifications in Geoinformatics and  Petroleum data management was speaking at a public lecture on petroleum activities in Namibia at Nust.
