The police in Windhoek are still searching for two bodies after the heavy rains in the capital on Friday.

One is that of an 8-year-old boy who fell into a flowing river at the Grysblok riverbed in Katutura and was flushed away.

The following day, on Saturday, an adult man was also washed away while standing on the edge of a river nearby the Goreangab Dam.

While in pursuit of the body at Goreangab Dam, the police came upon the body of a girl of about 13 to 15 years of age who was found underwater.

Her body was taken to the police mortuary.

The police encourage anyone who misses a loved one to visit the mortuary for identification purposes.
