The Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST) is expanding its bridge program to accommodate those who did not meet the minimum requirements.

The university is happy with the number of students who turned up for registration this year compared to the last two years.

NUST is accepting both ordinary and AS-level students in its programs.

Director of Marketing and Communications at NUST, John Haufiku, has also disagreed with NEFF's decision to call for mass demonstrations in protest against registration fees at tertiary institutions.

He instead advised the party to follow the correct procedures before embarking on mass demonstrations.

NUST is still making use of the online system to complement its services.

Registration for the senior students started yesterday, and registration for the first year is scheduled for the 26th of this month.
