The National Unity Democratic Organisation (NUDO) has officially launched its political calendar year for 2023.

This is in preparation for the 2024 elections. 

Party members converged at the party's Head office for various activities. 

The party's Secretary General Joseph Kauandenge addressed the media on pertinent issues of national concern.

Kauandenge, expressed concern about the state of education in the country following the high failure rate saying the system does not inspire hope. 

"It is an education system not worthy of the paper it was written on and hence should be revised forthwith." 

While,  emphasizing the need for justice for the Ovaherero and Nama Genocide victims, he expressed disappointment in the government's land redistribution policy. 

"We remain committed to see to it that the blood of our forefathers was not shared in vain. " 

Kauandenge also spoke out against what he termed police brutality in the country and questioned why investigations against accused officers never made public. 

"It should be worrisome to the top leadership of the police in particular the Inspector General. He must investigate the cause of this action and address the cause head, innocent lives of civilians cannot be left in the hands of a few unruly police officers, and mediation should be made a norm. "

This year, the party wants to establish more branches in all the regions in preparation for the 2024  elections.

"The party has been very busy last year, especially in the Kavango and Zambezi regions, we established ad-hoc leadership structures and soon we will establish permanent structures."
