President Sam Nujoma heroically marshalled the Namibian people during the darkest hours of our liberation struggle until the attainment of freedom and independence from Apartheid South Africa on the 21st of March 1990.
His death was announced by President Nangolo Mbumba this morning.
Nujoma died on Saturday, 08 February 2025, at the age of 95 in a private hospital in Windhoek, Namibia. He is survived by his wife, Kovambo Nujoma, and two sons.
