The Ndonga Linena Green Scheme has become the first farm to harvest maize for the 2025 cropping season. 

With winter just around the corner, green schemes such as Sikondo in Kavango West are preparing to plant their winter crop starting this week.

Acting farm manager Maxwell Nghidinua says the seeds are ready, and 14 hectares are set aside to plant potatoes.

Donations have started trickling in for the two centres at Onamhinda A and B in the Ohangwena Region, where over 200 people have been temporarily relocated from their homes following heavy flooding.

As part of their corporate social responsibility, the Development Bank of Namibia donated N$100,000 to the Ben van der Walt Primary School for the renovations of classrooms.

The Minister of Finance, Ericah Shafudah, announced the extension of the tax amnesty program until October 2026.  

She spoke at the Namibia Revenue Agency’s fourth annual Taxpayer/Trader Appreciation Day, themed "Empowering Taxpayers and Traders through Education."
