The Directorate of Health and Social Services in the Zambezi Region has highlighted the need to reduce the number of patient referrals to hospitals outside the region.

Residents, including children from Ohangwena Region's Onamhinda village, were relocated to higher grounds after their houses and mahangu fields were submerged by floodwaters from southern Angola.

In court earlier, Amushelelo stated that he had only managed to raise approximately N$32,000, which he deemed insufficient to secure legal representation from his preferred lawyer.
