Popular Democratic Movement (PDM) MP Maximalliant Katjimune has proposed a motion to merge the National Youth Council (NYC) with the National Youth Service (NYS). 

The leader of the Landless People's Movement (LPM), Bernardus Swartbooi, says the sudden resignation of the party's deputy leader, Henny Seibeb, and the Operative Secretary, Edison Isaak, will have no impact on the party's planned election campaign.

The Chairperson of the Public Enterprises Chief Executive Officer's Forum, Fluksman Samuehl, says for growth to be attained and for the sake of development in the country's state-owned enterprises, the heads of these institutions must be loyal to their companies and not to the appointing authorities.

The global credit rating agency Moody's has upgraded Namibia's sovereign rating outlook from 'stable' to 'positive'. This notable improvement reflects the successful implementation of economic reforms and a conducive external environment that has fostered economic growth. 

Namibia's borrowing and debt levels have been a concern in recent years, but are now under control and are showing a decline since the beginning of this year.
 
Finance and Public Enterprises Minister, Iipumbu Shiimi, said the country's debt level is still sustainable and within controllable levels.
