The Ministry of Health and Social Services (MoHSS) says Namibia needs to be vigilant and on high alert, on Marburg Viral Disease particularly at the main border crossings and at public and private facilities.  

The country has not detected any case of Marburg viral disease to date.  

The South African Embassy in Namibia marked Human Rights Day. Speakers at the event called upon the two countries to use their freedom and democracy to protect, promote and preserve the values and principles of human rights.
