Well-known business personality Dr. Leake Hangala, founding executive chairman of the Hangala Group, has retired from the position, effective May 1, 2023.

Former Manchester United goalkeeper Gary Bailey, who is in the country on a business trip, has identified talent in Namibian football and stated that some players would have the potential to thrive in Europe. Bailey made the remarks during a Katutura derby over the weekend.

The first edition of the Spar 10 and 5 km Women's Challenge was launched in Windhoek at the Ministry of Sport, Youth and National Service on Monday.

The race is scheduled to take place on the 23rd of April at the Wanderers Field.
