Vendors at the Oshikango Open Market have expressed growing dissatisfaction with the Helao Nafidi Town Council, raising serious concerns about their safety while operating at the market.

The Keetmanshoop Municipality handed over 23 Build Together houses to families in the Tseiblaagte residential area of Keetmanshoop.

The Mayor of Keetmanshoop, Annelize Knaus, stated that the programme continues to reduce the town's housing backlog each year, and she congratulated the new homeowners.

Works and Transport Minister, Veikko Nekundi, officiated the inauguration of Phase 2 of the Tsandi-Omugulugwombashe Road Project in the Omusati Region.

The Kalkrand Village Council handed over 16 houses to beneficiaries of the Build Together Programme in the village, after being dormant for 17 years. 

The village council reintroduced the programme in 2023 after it secured funding of N$1.5 million from the Ministry of Urban and Rural Development.

A significant number of young people in Namibia are vulnerable online, with around nine per cent of internet-using children experiencing online sexual exploitation.
