Namibia will begin rolling out its electronic identity documents (e-ID) in September 2026 as part of efforts to modernise the country's identity management systems and strengthen digital public service delivery.

Works and Transport Minister Veikko Nekundi was in the Kunene Region, tracking the progress of major ongoing road and aviation projects. These include links like the Opuwo-Okanguati, Opuwo-Etanga, and Kaoko Otavi-Opuwo roads, alongside the Oute Road, Oute Bridge, and the Opuwo Aerodrome.
