Works and Transport Minister Veikko Nekundi has officially launched the Animals Visibility Pilot Project at Embumba village in the Oshikuku Constituency of the Omusati Region.

The |Khomanin Traditional Authority organised an early Christmas party for children at Kapps Farm.

The initiative, which started three years back, aims to create a good relationship between the community and the traditional authority while bringing joy to the little ones.

Okakarara Mayor Siegfried Tjehiua said the provision of water tops the list of priorities, noting that residents in informal areas have been deprived of basic services for years.

Namibia produces only about 40 percent of its own electricity, while the remaining percentage is being imported.  

This was announced by the Minister of Industries, Mines and Energy, Modestus Amutse, at the official launch of the Namibia Impact Mission 300.  

The annual inflation rate in September increased by zero- comma one percent compared to three-comma-four percent rcorded at the same time last year.

The Namibia Financial Instituations Supervisory Authority indicated the inflation now stands at three-comma-five percent.
