Former NAMCOR Managing Director Immanuel Mulunga is seeking release based on a warning in his ongoing criminal case.

Former President Hifikepunye Pohamba has called on Ohangwena Governor Kadiva Hamutumwa to remain steadfast and resolute in her leadership, urging her to become a force for positive transformation in the region.

More than 600 new voters across the ||Kharas Region had registered during the supplementary registration of voters to participate in the November Local Authorities and Regional Councils elections by Thursday.

The supplementary registration began on Monday and runs until 19 August. 

Participation in elections through voting remains the cornerstone of Namibia's democracy.

President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah amplified this message as she urged all eligible Namibians to turn up in numbers and register for the upcoming Regional Councils and Local Authorities elections.

The town of Gobabis in the Omaheke Region became the centre of national engagement and regional solidarity as it hosted the official commemoration of Africa Day of Decentralization and Local Development.
