Minister of Justice and Labour Relations Fillemon Immanuel visited the Sinomine Mine in Tsumeb today amid growing concerns over a voluntary retrenchment process currently underway.

The National Petroleum Corporation of Namibia (NAMCOR) says it is inaccurate that its former Managing Director won an unfair labour case against the company. 

This statement follows several media reports related to an arbitration ruling issued on the 6th of June 2025.

A 30-year-old Namibian national, Pauline Mbangula, who was arrested on suspicion of drug possession and trafficking at Oliver Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg in September last year, has been sentenced to eight years in prison.
