Brave Warriors to face Chipolopolo in 2019 Dr Hage Geingob Cup

Namibia's Brave Warriors will be facing Zambia's Chipolopolo in this year's Dr Hage Geingob Cup, which is set to take place on the 09th of November at the Sam Nujoma Stadium in Windhoek. Since its inception in 2014, the Dr Hage Geingob Cup has grown to become one of the top sporting events on the Namibian calendar. Eventually, the organisers switched the format from a club to a national team competition and Namibia has faced the likes of Zimbabwe and Ghana ever since. Zambia will form part of this year's edition. At the launch, his President Hage Geingob's message was read on his behalf by the Presidential Advisor on Youth Matters Enterprise Development Daisry Mathias. "It requires a significant amount of resources in order for us to do an event of this magnitude. As we continue to grow this tournament, celebrating excellence and leadership and fostering national unity, your continued partnership as sponsor has and remains vital to the success of this tournament" said Mathias. Also speaking at the same occasion was the High Commissioner of Zambia, Her Excellency Stella Libongani, who welcomed the invitation to form part of the festivities. "I would like to reiterate our profound gratitude to the Namibia Football Association for extending the invitation to the Football Association of Zambia in this year's Dr. Hage Geingob Cup" Libongani said. The main sponsors of the Dr. Hage Geingob Cup represented by its Managing Director, Marco Wenk said they are proud to be associated with the Cup competition. "It is thus a pleasure for Namibia Breweries Limited to once again pledge our support for the Dr. Hage Geingob Cup in 2019 as a main sponsor. This is testimony to our commitment to sport in Namibia, something that we really hold at value and really try and support wherever possible not just Soccer, but with many other codes as well" Wenk said. The fans will be entertained by some of the country's top artists, with Sunny Boy, Top Cherry, TBoz and Staika and Rizana lined up to get the crowd on their feet. The curtain raiser match between former Brave Warriors and local personalities is also set to get people in support mode.
