Wiindhoek- Local boxer Immanuel Joseph is set to fight for the World Boxing Federation's international flyweight title against Jackson Chauke of South Africa later this month. The fight that will take place in S.A., will be Joseph's second bout outside the country. Immanuel Joseph of the Salute Boxing Academy has a date with Jackson Chauke on the 21st of this month in Johannesburg. The fight will be the main supporting bout of the boxing bonanza dubbed “Making the Champ”, which is organised by Real Steel Promotions. If it goes his way, the 26-year-old Joseph will be crowned as the WBF Intercontinental Champion. According to the boxer, his is well prepared and is ready to challenge for a title fight. “It’s a dream of every boxer to win titles. I am happy for this opportunity, and I am ready to go win this title. Not only for myself but is for the whole country. Namibia be ready to celebrate this title with me.” Added Joseph. Joseph boasts a record of 9 wins, with 4 knock-outs and 3 losses, while his opponent Jackson Chauke has recorded 15 wins, with 1 loss and a draw. On paper Chauke is more experienced then the Namibian, as he also have won 11 of his fights with knock-outs. However, the statistics are apparently not a threat to Joseph’s corner. His trainer Nashilongo Tobias said. “We the coaching staff of Joseph are more experienced than his camp. We are ready and don’t care about his experience we are going there for the title, and for sure we will bring it home.” explained Tobias. Joseph lost his last fight against Sikho Ngothole, another South African boxer last year. The Namibian camp will leave next week for the anticipated battle.
