Young Namibia Premier League referee Samuel Nghipandulwa, who recently returned from Brazil, is ready to invest some newly acquired skills with fellow referees back home. Samuel Nghipandulwa is always looking for new opportunities. As such, he was the only referee from Africa at the Iber Cup in Brazil from the 20th to the 26th of this month. The Iber Cup is the second biggest Youth tournament in South America, which attracted over three hundred international youth between the age groups of under 9 to under 17 from 25 countries. "It means a lot me. Refereeing is a learning process and every game i learned something new. After the games the observers would tell you how was the game, where you need to improve"Nghipandulwa said. Nghipandulwa is looking forward to share this knowledge with fellow countrymen. He officiated 16 games in total, of which one was the 3rd place play off. He walked away with a bronze medal. "It's about performing better than others, because getting such a game was not easy. It cannot be given to anyone , it's about how you are performing in the game" he said. He explained that, as a Namibia Premier League referee, he observed many things which he did not encounter at senior level in Namibia. "I've also learned how my colleagues officiated from different countries , because when you come together you put ideas together and try to do the same. If he officiated something i did not know i asked how did they did , because I've never experienced that.It's really nice, because i really learned from others . It 's something that is improving my game" he added. The young referee is eagerly waiting for the kick-off of the Namibia Premier League to apply his skills.
