Stacey Naris New board member of FIFPRO

Windhoek-The Namibia Football Players Union announced at a press conference held on Tuesday that Stacey Naris has been appointed as a new Board Member of Fifpro's Africa Division At the occasion, the President of the Players Union Sylvester 'Lolo' Goraseb said that it was a very special moment for the Union to have a member sitting on the board of Fifpro Africa Division. “Stacey is not only going to represent NAFPU, but she is going to represent the whole of Africa, she will also be in the committee of International Fifpro Committee, we are very happy tha Namibia will be well represented on that board” Goraseb said. Naris, who currently doubles as a player for the Brave Gladiators and as an employee of NAFPU, is the first woman to sit on the board of the Fifpro Africa Division. According to her own statements, she will make sure that women football grows in Namibia and Africa as a whole. “I cannot overemphasize the role football has played in my life, and I surely cannot imagine my life without it, being part of the football fraternity, the Namibia Football Players Union in particular has created so many opportunities for me, I believe that one has to overcome obstacles and hurdles before succeeding in life” said Naris. Naris will sit on the board of Fifpro Africa Division for a period of four years.
