The Ministry of Education, Innovation, Youth, Sports, Arts and Culture's (MEIYSAC) Deputy Executive Director Edda Bohn stated that the Promotion Policy remains unchanged when referring to the national Promotion Policy document.

"Flexibility is only within the policies, the way the policy describes it, that a learner who does not meet the promotion requirements is allowed to repeat, but only once during a phase. There is nothing else that can change; I mean, that can be made flexible to that. And then once a learner has not met the requirements for the second time, then the learner must be transferred, as it was saying. So the policy is like an education descriptor or law; it is a directive, so it should be followed. And any deviation, other than official letters, from the way I explained about the additional language must be requested from the Executive Director. But there is actually no provision for any deviation or flexibility," explained Bohn.
