Swanepoel wins Red Bull Brave Man pro long

Brett Swanepoel won the Gold class of the Red Bull Pro long race on Friday night, Before him , Travis Teasdale and Dwayne Kleynhans jointly won the Gold class the Brave man Extreme Enduro at the Elisenheim Guest farm yesterday. It was all about thrills and spills as a total of thirty two riders from Namibia, South Africa and Zambia competed over the two days. The event started Friday night with the Pro-log taking place with riders competing in three categories Gold , Silver and Bronze. Each heat of the respective categories had two circuits with the Gold Category having a second heat at the end of the night. It was Brett Swanepoel who won the Gold category after taking on the challenging obstacles and clocking the fastest time for the night. Travis Teasdale and Dwayne Kleynhans finished in second and third places respectively. The times on the pro-log determined the starting list of the next day with the fastest times staring first. The three were the first to challenge the steep mountains, pushing beyond their limits while holding on to their bikes. The spectators witnessed these riders who were not doing it for the money or just to win, but for the bragging rights and glory of victory over hardship and crossing the finishing line First to cross the finishing line was the Bronze riders, which RJ Visser clinched, The only female rider in the competition Kirsten Landmann who was also the defending champion in the Silver category could however not defend her title successfully having ended second , while her fellow country man Darren Gray won the race. The trio of Brett Swanepoel, Travis Teasdale and Dwayne Kleynhans who had a close race decided to jointly cross finish line in 8 hours, four minutes and 18 second to clinched the Gold class of the Brave man Extreme Enduro. Only 19 from the 32 finished the race.
