The Windhoek Gymnasium is reportedly all set to host the Capricorn Group's Sevens Rugby festival from the 9th to the 10 of March. With participating teams in the international pool from South Africa, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Botswana and Namibia, the upcoming Rugby Sevens festival brings a fun filled and action- packed two-day rugby tournament to Windhoek. “The tournament means a lot because it shows how important the game of rugby and sort is for our schools, so we want to create a platform where Namibians can see excellent quality international sport and enjoy it” said the managing director Colette Rieckert. The under nineteen Windhoek Gymnasium and Windhoek Technical High School teams, as well as the under fifteens from Saint Georges are expected to take part in the event. “The champions in the international league was South Africa and in the under nineteen league it was Windhoek high school while the under fifteen was Windhoek Gymnasium, so they have their title to protect.”she said. Tickets are available on web ticket, whereby adults will have to pay 70 Namibia dollars and children 30 Namibia dollars. 3500 tickets are available, therefore the public is urged to buy their tickets in advance On Friday the 9th of March 2018, the tournament will start at 13:00 with first rounds which will play up to 21h30.
