Young Warriors out of AFCON Qualifiers

Windhoek-Namibia's Young Warriors are out of the 2019 CAF U-20 AFCON qualifiers, after playing to a 1- all draw against neighbouring Botswana on Sunday. It was a must-win for Namibia, as both sides already drew nil-nil in their first leg. As a team that enjoyed the advantage of playing on home ground this weekend, the Young Warriors started off well and created this good chance, but Siyambonga Ramakhutla's efforts were eventually denied by the goal post. Later on, Johannes Hollombach's foul earned him a red card in the 15th minute of the game, and this resulted in Botswana having a one man-advantage. The first 45 minutes of the encounter ended without any goals nonetheless. Botswana came back strongly after the break and scored just two minutes into the second half to take the lead. The team from Botswana went on to dominate the game, but could not add any more goals. In the 77th minute, Bethel Muzeu converted for the home side. However, Namibia needed another goal. The encounter ended 1-all, and Botswana advanced on the away goal rule.
