Khomas Regional Council assesses status of boreholes drilled at Windhoek Rural Constituency

The Khomas Regional Council concluded its visits to the Windhoek Rural Constituency aimed at assessing the status of boreholes drilled in the area.

The delegation assessed boreholes at the Satan Slog settlement, Enos and Ernest, and Diep Rivier.

They also visited the construction of toilets at Khanubeb and the youth gardening project at Nauaspoort.

A borehole at Enos and Ernest was not functioning due to a lack of water.

Khomas Regional Council well placed to achieve targeted 90%

The Khomas Regional Council has set itself a target of achieving more than 90% implementation of its public service mandate.

Chairperson of the Khomas Regional Council, Shalukeni Moonde, says these goals can only be achieved if councilors focus on their purpose.

Moonde addressed the Khomas Regional Council's opening for the year 2023.

"I would like to urge you to be committed and to work hard towards reaching our strategic goals of delivering services to our |Khomas communities in accordance with our mandate."
