Tensions within the Namibia Paralympic Committee (NPC) have come to the forefront, with NPC Treasurer Jean-Paul Schmidt challenging Secretary General Michael Hamukwaya's claims of unity within the organization.

The Namibia National Paralympic Committee hosted a para sport festival and talent identification event in Windhoek on Tuesday. 

On Tuesday a parasports event was held at the Okuryangava community hall in Windhoek, where the athletes took part in Archery, Weightlifting and Handball activities. 

With a hectic sporting calendar awaiting para-athletes, the secretary general of the Namibia Paralympics Committee, Michael Hamukwaya, has appealed for an early release of the required funds for athletes to start with timely preparations.

The development manager of membership programmes within the International Paralympics Committee, Gabriel Ojeda concluded his three-day visit to the Namibian Paralympics Committee.
