The annual Tour de Windhoek was launched in Windhoek today ahead of the cycling event scheduled to take place from 13 to 16 August, bringing together riders from across the country to compete in multiple stages.

It's history in the making for Namibian cycling. The Mega Build Women's Tour de Windhoek, sanctioned by the Union Cycliste Internationale is taking place right here in the capital for the very first time.

Seasoned cyclists Drikus Coetzee and Melissa Hinz took the men's and women's overall victories at the 2023 Tour de Windhoek which concluded on Sunday at Von Bach Dam outside Okahandja.
