NUDO Secretary General and MP Joseph Kauandenge tabled a motion calling for the establishment of a Genocide Memorial Museum to honor and remember the Ovaherero and Nama people who died during the 1904–08 war.

Motivating the motion in the National Assembly today, Kauandenge says such a museum will be important to remember and honor those who died during the extermination orders issued by German Schutztruppe Commander, General Lothar von Trotha.
