Heineken International intends to keep Namibia Breweries Limited brand

Dutch beer brewing giant Heineken International intends to keep the Namibia Breweries Limited (NBL) brand as it is and further increase employment by localising production.

The top management of Heineken and NBL paid a courtesy call on President Hage Geingob at State House.

Heineken International last month concluded the acquisition of the majority shares in the country's giant beverage producer, Namibia Breweries, and Distell Group Holdings.

Namibia Breweries Limited donates beer to MIRCO

Namibia Breweries Limited has donated beer to the Ministry of International Relations and Cooperation as part of its contribution to the 33rd anniversary of Namibia's independence.

The beer will be distributed to Namibia's diplomatic missions abroad.

The Independence Day stock handover is done annually, ahead of Independence Day.

The Deputy Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, Jenelly Matundu, received the donation on behalf of the ministry.

The consignment is destined for Namibia's 34 diplomatic embassies and missions around the world.
