Potential investors have conducted a fact-finding mission to the Neckartal Dam in the ||Kharas Region, as plans gain momentum for the second phase of the irrigation scheme’s development.

The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Economy, Industry, Public Administration and Planning has called for suitable land to be made available to initiate phase two of the Neckertal Dam Irrigation Scheme.

Once fully operational, the envisaged 5,000-hectare irrigation scheme at Neckartal Dam, on the outskirts of Keetmanshoop, will provide sufficient produce for not only the domestic market but exports as well.
