Mbangu requests for management review of multinational entities

The Rundu Rural Councillor Paulus Mbangu wants the management agreements of multinational entities reviewed to make sure that ordinary Namibians benefit.

This should especially look into the mining and agriculture sectors.


The councilor says it's every citizen's responsibility to ensure that Namibia is never recolonized again, both politically and economically or otherwise.

Ministry of Agriculture, Water, and Land Reform embarks to reform a four piece legislation

The Ministry of Agriculture, Water, and Land Reform has embarked on the revision of four pieces of legislation, that deal with the management of animal feed, plant quarantine, fertilizers, and pesticides.

The Food and Agriculture Organisation is advising the ministry to ensure that the regulations conform to international standards.

FAO Assistant Representative Ferdinand Mwapopi says Namibia, as a net exporter of especially of beef, cannot afford to lag behind in terms of food safety standards.
