Tension gripped a meeting where the Minister of Rural and Urban Development (MURD), Erastus Uutoni, announced the suspension of the entire Karasburg Council, appointing an administrator in their place. 

Pandemonium broke out with heated interjections, and residents showed clear divisions over the minister's decision to suspend the councillors.

One group questioned the legality of the decision, while another argued that aggrieved parties should seek legal recourse.

The Namibia University of Science and Technology has responded to allegations of maladministration made against the university and its Vice Chancellor Dr. Erold Naomab.

The allegations stem from three letters written to the institution's council and to the Minister of Higher Education, Innovation and Technology and circulating on social media. 

One of the letters was authored by NAPWU while two more were delivered anonymously.
