MUN members warned against tribalism

Members of the Mine Workers Union of Namibia (MUN) Northern Region branch have been cautioned to steer clear of tribalism and internal conflicts. This warning was issued by the union's Acting Vice President, Mbidhi Shavuka, during the 13th Northern Regional Biennial Conference held in Tsumeb. 

Five die in car accident near Oshivelo

A motor vehicle accident claimed the lives of the driver and four passengers in the early hours of this morning on the B1 road between Tsumeb and Oshivelo. 

NamPower implements 40 MW Otjikoto Biomass Power Project

NamPower is set to commence a more than N$2 billion 40-megawatt biomass power station in Otjikoto, near Tsumeb.

The national power provider signed an agreement with the implementers and funders in Windhoek.

Tsumeb vendors set to receive new trading area

Vendors in Tsumeb are set to trade with greater ease following the construction of an open market by the municipality along the town's main road.

Construction started in 2019 and is nearly fully complete, save for a few more touch-ups.
