Enhancing access to comprehensive sexual education and reproductive health services is important for vulnerable rural youth, who often experience feelings of isolation and neglect.

In response to this need, the Karas Arts and Dance Academy and the Ministry of Sport, Youth, and National Service have organised a one-week workshop at Keetmanshoop aimed at providing essential information to 20 rural youth regarding adolescent sexual and reproductive health and rights.

Twenty participants, mostly from rural areas in the ||Kharas Region, are taking part in the training.

Over 500 youth recruited as casual workers at MSYNS's plot at Nkurenkuru

More than 500 young people from the Kavango West Region have been recruited as casual workers to clear a 20-hectare plot belonging to the Ministry of Sport, Youth, and National Services (MSYNS) at Nkurenkuru.

Kavango West remains the only region without proper sports facilities.

That is about to change as the Ministry will soon start with the development of a stadium, to be followed by a multi-purpose youth centre.

Regional Youth Officer Anna-Marie Kasela says the Ministry decided to ensure local youth are employed in contributing to the process.
