Landless People's Movement (LPM) President Bernadus Swartbooi says that while Namibia gained independence 34 years ago, this has not necessarily translated into true freedom for its people.

Brazil recently commemorated its 202 years of independence at the ambassador's residence in Klein Windhoek.

They also celebrated 30 years of cooperation with Namibia in the navy field.

Landless People's Movement leader Bernadus Swartbooi says a country marked by inequality will not be able to sustain its independence, peace, and stability in the future.

Swartbooi made these remarks while addressing the belated independence celebrations gathering at Farm Komsberg in the ||Kharas Region.
