Miss Namibia, Jameela |Uiras, and Miss Teen 2023, Oriana Ribeiro, paid a courtesy call to the Ministry of International Relations and Cooperation (MIRCO) to familiarise themselves with their responsibilities in the recently launched Namibia International Women's Peace Centre.

The visit aims to guide Miss Namibia and Miss Teen on how to advocate for the International Women's Peace Centre and peace for all, both locally and internationally.

18-year-old Oriana Ribeiro has been crowned Miss Teen 2023. She takes over from Zoe Karsten.

Ribeiro is an advocate for a change of mindset, and she believes circumstances do not dictate one's quality of life but the way one thinks about it.

The first runner-up is Innocential Mukubi, who is also Miss Congeniality, while the second runner-up is Timicia Goeieman.

The Namibian Broadcasting Corporation (nbc) had gone all out to all 14 regions of the country to ensure that every aspiring Miss Teen had been given a chance for the first time in the event's history.
