The Katutura Old Age Home became a hub of festive spirit as residents were treated to a special visit by the Namibia Diamond Trade Company and Diamond Manufacturer Association.

Representatives from the companies and the City of Windhoek spent quality time with the elderly, creating moments of joy, laughter, and profound wisdom.

The elders, some of whom might not have family to celebrate with, embraced the opportunity to dance, laugh, and share their invaluable insights.

SA High Commission celebrates Nelson Mandela Day at Katutura Old Age Home

The South African High Commission and partners celebrated Nelson Mandela Day with the residents of the Katutura Old Age Home.

The High Commission, in partnership with South African Airways and Namib Mills, donated 500 kilogrammes of food to the old age home. 

Nelson Mandela's Birthday celebrated on the 18th of July annually, is used to give back to the community.

Political counsellor Sholeen Mooljee at South Africa's High Commission urged everyone to do an act of kindness on the day.
