Residents of Queen Sofia Farm are optimistic that 2025 will bring adequate rains following the drought of the past two years.

Situated in the Kunene Region, Queen Sofia is made up of five resettlement farms.

The Grootfontein Municipality's Acting Chief Executive Officer, Indileni Lungameni, says the Council has managed to stabilise its finances this year and will commence with key projects early next year. 

Otjozondjupa Governor James Uerikua handed over food items to the Namibians who had been repatriated from Botswana and are settled at Gam and members of the San community in his village.

The spokesperson for Namibians who were repatriated from Botswana at the New Gam Settlement, Justice Muinjo, expressed dissatisfaction with the arrangements made for them. 

Vice President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah says the welfare of men and women in uniform should not be neglected.

Dr. Nandi-Ndaitwah was speaking at the inauguration of the Kunene Regional Police Headquarters in Opuwo.

The Otjiwarongo Constituency Collation Centre is only left with six polling stations that are yet to be verified, audited, and uploaded.

Otjozondjupa Regional Electoral Officer Victoria Amutenya says the progress is good given the 33 polling stations in the constituency.

The Deputy Minister of Disability Affairs, Alexia Manombe-Ncube, has urged people with disabilities to go to the polling stations and cast their votes. She says people using wheelchairs should go to polling stations accessible to them. 

Residents of the 'New Ombili' informal settlement in Otjiwarongo are expressing gratitude for the progress made in their community over the years. 

As the upcoming elections approach, they are eager to cast their votes, hoping for even more development in the future.

The United Democratic Front's president, Hendrik Gaobaeb, at an Outjo rally, said the party's agenda is to change the country's administration to address issues affecting the people.

The National Unity Democratic Organisation (NUDO) President Dr. Utjiua Muinjangue stated that the party did not register a presidential candidate for the upcoming election because they recognise their limited chances of success.

Muinjangue made these remarks during the party's star rally in Okakarara.
