In preparation for the Regional By-Election for the Otjiwarongo constituency councilor, set to take place this month, the Swapo Party convened in Kalfeld to encourage residents to vote for Paulus Nekundi as their candidate.

Former Miss World Namibia contestant Selma Kamanya paid a courtesy visit to Swapo Party Secretary General Sophia Shaningwa at the party headquarters.

Shaningwa was a strong supporter of Kamanya during the Miss World competition held in India, where Kamanya placed in the top eight.

The Namibian Association of Differently Abled Women (NADAWO) launched its new identity and opened a Peer Support Office Facility at the Disability Resource Centre in Okuryangava.

The City of Windhoek and PowerCom Namibia signed a memorandum of understanding to install 28 closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras around the city in a bid to prevent and reduce crime. 

The city will allocate the CCTV cameras to selected areas to assist law enforcement agencies in fighting crimes.

The OvaHerero community gathered at Pioneers Park Cemetery to lay a wreath at the gravesite of the late Kamaituara Kukuri.

Chief Kamaituara Kukuri was a leader of the Otjosazu community and a clergyman in the Evangelical Lutheran Church. 

To boost small and medium enterprises, the Tobias Hainyeko constituency office has donated business equipment to eighteen entrepreneurs valued at N$277,000. 

 The businesses funded are fashion design, welding services, bakeries, fitness gyms, butchery, catering, and beautification services.

Members of the World Mission Society Church of God rolled up their sleeves in Windhoek and Oshakati to donate blood at the Namibia Blood Transfusion Service (NAMBTS) centres.

The Deputy Director of Labour Inspectorate in the Ministry of Justice and Labour Reform, Henock Amukwa, called for the development of clear national policies, systems and legal frameworks to support the ongoing improvement of occupational health and safety in the workplace.

The |Khomas Regional Council visited a number of its development projects that are part of the Council's efforts to improve infrastructure and services in the region. 

The visit is to showcase the Regional Council's development efforts to the residents.
