Miss Nicaragua crowned Miss Universe

In a spectacular showcase of beauty, talent, and global unity, the 72nd Miss Universe pageant reached its grand finale in El Salvador.

The event, which concluded in the early hours of this morning, saw immense support from Namibians as they rallied behind Jameela |Uiras.

Miss Nicaragua, Sheynnis Palacios, emerged victorious and claimed the coveted title of Miss Universe 2023.


Miss Thailand, Anntonia Porsild, secured the position of 2nd runner-up, while Miss Australia, Moraya Wilson, gracefully took the third spot.

Namibians encouraged to support their beauty queens

Namibians are encouraged to show support for their beauty queens as they represent the country on international stages.

There are four pageants in which Namibia will be represented internationally.

Miss Namibia Jameela |Uiras will represent the country at Miss Universe, set to take place on the 18th of November this year in El Salvador. First runner-up Albertina Haimbala will be participating in the 72nd Miss World competition, with the country and date still to be announced.
