Namibians are encouraged to show support for their beauty queens as they represent the country on international stages.

There are four pageants in which Namibia will be represented internationally.

Miss Namibia Jameela |Uiras will represent the country at Miss Universe, set to take place on the 18th of November this year in El Salvador. First runner-up Albertina Haimbala will be participating in the 72nd Miss World competition, with the country and date still to be announced.

Martha Kautanevali, who is the second runner-up, is set to take part in the Miss Earth contest scheduled to take place on the 16th of December 2023 in Vietnam, and Miss Teen Namibia, Oriana Ribeiro, will participate in Miss Teen International in India next year.

The Namibian Broadcasting Corporation's (nbc) Acting Chief Commercial Officer, Nico Mwiya, made the announcement during the event to highlight which title holder will represent Namibia at which international pageant.

nbc Public Relations Manager, Beaulah Boois-Beukes, stated that the corporation and the main sponsor, Debmarine, are committed to transforming the pageants to represent the nation with grace and excellence on the international stage.
