Windhoek-Okahandja dual carriageway re-classified

The Windhoek-Okahandja dual carriageway has been re-classified and upgraded from B1 to A1 road as per the road classification standards.

President Nangolo Mbumba inaugurated the dual carriageway, the only A-rated road in Namibia, at the Gross Barmen Interchange.

President Nangolo Mbumba is in Cape Town, South Africa, to engage in discussions with President Cyril Ramaphosa. 

The leaders went into talks this afternoon aimed at strengthening economic ties and addressing shared regional priorities. 

Kaomo Vijanda Tjombe dies

Veteran journalist and nbc's former Radio News Editor, Kaomo Vijanda Tjombe, died in Windhoek on Saturday following a battle with cancer. 

He was 65 years old. 

Tjombe's brother, Nathanael Mbaeva, confirmed the news to the nbc.

President Mbumba reaffirms Namibia's confidence in UN to address global crises

President Nangolo Mbumba has reiterated Namibia's confidence in the United Nations' ability to deal with global challenges of conflicts, humanitarian crises, and pandemics.

Dr. Mbumba highlighted the world body's pivotal role in a statement to mark UN Day, which is observed on October 24th every year.
