Namibia holds brighter future for its people - Sinimbo

Namibia has made significant strides in various areas, including education, democracy, healthcare, and economic development since gaining independence 34 years ago.

The Deputy Minister of Industrialization and Trade, Verna Sinimbo, made these remarks while addressing residents of Oranjemund over the weekend. Deputy Minister Sinimbo further stated that Namibia has also established itself as a respected member of the international community, contributing to peacekeeping efforts and regional cooperation.

Education is the key to accessing opportunities for development presented by both the Namibian government and through the country's natural resources.

This was said by Swapo Party member Verna Sinimbo at Sifuha Village in the Zambezi Region.

Addressing community members at Sinufa village as the political leader assigned to the Kabbe North district in the Zambezi Region, Sinimbo underlined the importance of education in preparing children to take advantage of opportunities in the fields, especially green hydrogen, and the oil and gas industry in Namibia.

Namibia and Turkey to explore new avenues of investment

Namibia and Türkiye have reaffirmed their intent to cement bilateral relations and explore new avenues in the area of investment.

Their commitments were expressed during the celebration of Türkiye's 100 years as a republic, where the two countries unpacked their joint achievements over the years.

Speaking at a celebration, the Turkish Ambassador to Namibia, Feral Cekerek Oruckaptan, said Türkiye's independence has inspired many nations to gain their freedom and sovereignty.

OATF 2023 officially opens

This year's 22nd edition of the Ongwediva Annual Trade Fair attracted a total of 450 exhibitors, among them 14 international exhibitors.

Speaking at the official opening on behalf of President Hage Geingob, the Deputy Minister of Trade and Industrialization, Verna Sinimbo, said the fair has become an integral part of promoting sustainable development for the benefit of current and future generations.
