The Governor of the Kavango West Region, Verna Sinimbo, accompanied by various regional leaders, paid the Kasera family in Sarukwe village a visit following the death of two children due to suspected food poisoning.

The Sinomine Tsumeb Smelter has added more mining activities as a means to create new skills.

Speaking at the Tsumeb Copper Festival, Deputy Minister of Industrialisation and Trade Verna Sinimbo said the youth are required to acquire these skills for Namibia to become an industrialised nation. 

Namibia, with its wide range of biodiversity and cultural heritage, has huge potential for benefiting communities with the production of local products that can be expanded and delivered to the global market.

Namibia has made significant strides in various areas, including education, democracy, healthcare, and economic development since gaining independence 34 years ago.

Education is the key to accessing opportunities for development presented by both the Namibian government and through the country's natural resources.

This was said by Swapo Party member Verna Sinimbo at Sifuha Village in the Zambezi Region.

Namibia and Türkiye have reaffirmed their intent to cement bilateral relations and explore new avenues in the area of investment.

Their commitments were expressed during the celebration of Türkiye's 100 years as a republic, where the two countries unpacked their joint achievements over the years.

This year's 22nd edition of the Ongwediva Annual Trade Fair attracted a total of 450 exhibitors, among them 14 international exhibitors.
