Kavango West Governor Verna Sinimbo's fruit tree planting campaign in the region also promotes creative industries, aiming to showcase local talent and cultivate human creativity in the region.
Sinimbo said, "Through the creative industries awareness and database registration campaign, guided by the theme 'Unkirungu Wetu Ugagho Wetu'. We are strengthening a sector that often goes unnoticed, yet it carries enormous potential for job creation, tourism, growth, cultural preservation, and youth employment. Creatives are storytellers, innovators, thinkers, designers, performers and problem solvers. The very people who help regions brand themselves and nations imagine what is possible. Nkurenkuru is full of young talents waiting for a platform, exposure, and opportunities."
Sinimbo shared that her office is collecting data on those who form part of the creative industry in the Kavango West Region, and her office will see how these people can be assisted in benefiting from their talents.
The governor urged residents to take ownership of the land, talent, and economy, calling on them to actively participate in shaping the region's future rather than just being spectators.
