Flights to Luderitz resume

The Namibia Airports Company (NAC) has announced that flights to Luderitz Airport resumed on Friday.

Fly Namibia on Thursday cancelled its scheduled flights to and from the airport due to safety issues caused by unforeseen mechanical problems with the firefighting vehicle operated by the NAC.

The spokesperson of NAC, Dan Kamati, said in a media statement that a Notice to Airmen was issued on the availability of airport rescue and firefighting services, and NAC activated plans to resume operations as soon as possible.

National Council to resume tomorrow

The National Council is set to kick off with its 10th session on Monday, November 20, 2023.

The upper house will consider bills referred by the National Assembly, reports of standing committees, and any other business.

The Executive Director of the National Council, Tousy Namiseb, provided insights into the upcoming session on Inside the Chambers.

Being on recess does not necessarily mean a holiday for the MPs, as they are tasked with oversight activities away from the chambers.
