The Ohangwena Regional Council has initiated an investigation into the disappearance of N$200,000 that was intended for flood victims.

These funds were donated to the Ohangwena Regional Council by the Road Fund Administration (RFA) last year.

The incident occurred in 2023 under the tenure of the former regional governor, Walde Ndevashiya.

It is alleged that during that time, the former governor's personal assistant made contact with the RFA and requested that the money be transferred to the account of a company called Ethics Group Holding.

The newly appointed Ohangwena Regional Governor, Sebastian Ndeitunga, says he will adapt to the new political environment in this phase of his career and be a servant of the people.

Ndeitunga remarked this morning at Eenhana as he officially took office and met the regional leadership in his new role.
