Safe Haven brings hope to Katutura

In the heart of the Okahandja Park informal settlement in Katutura, a safe haven is giving hope to children in the community. 

Local resident Albertina Eises is offering afternoon classes, day care, and meals to children in the area, creating a nurturing space where they can learn, play, and grow.

Community members of Farm Julianne, in the Grootfontein Constituency, were overjoyed after the Ministry of Health and Social Services allocated a vehicle to the farm and its surrounding areas.

 Farm Julianne is situated about 77 kilometres northeast of Grootfontein, in the Otjozondjupa Region.

The donation follows COSDEC Omaheke reaching out for assistance for trainees at the centre who lacked safety boots.

Fishing company Blue Chromis donates to grieving families at Okahandja

The Blue Chromis Fishing Company in Walvis Bay has donated fish to the families of the murdered girls in Okahandja, as well as to the Ark Orphanage and the general community.

In addition, the company contributed N$16,500 to the funeral costs of the girls.

Ozombaze Cooperative donates food to Otjivero School

Ozombaze Farmers' Cooperative donated food items to Omitara's Otjivero Combined School in the Omaheke Region.

The Chairperson of the Cooperative, Willem Haoseb, indicated that if all goes according to plan, they will extend assistance to community members in the Omitara settlement.
