The government's Mass Housing Project has delivered 24 new homes to residents in Opuwo. 

The Urban and Rural Development Minister, James Sankwasa, officiated the handover ceremony recently aimed at providing decent shelter to the local community.

Concerns are being raised about the unhygienic state of the Opuwo State Hospital.

Community members say the hospital has become a haven for stray cats and rats, to the point where they invade patients' rooms to prey on their food.
