The Minister of Higher Education, Technology, and Innovation, Dr. Itah Kandjii-Murangi, has tabled the Namibia Financial Assistance Fund (NSFAF) Amendment Bill in Parliament.

As the National Assembly resumed today, Popular Democratic Movement (PDM) MP Inna Hengari was the first to take the floor on the Ombudsman Bill, questioning the appointment process of the Ombudsman.

The proposed law aims to clearly define the powers and responsibilities of the Ombudsman in Namibia.

The Deputy Minister of Higher Education Natalia |Goagoses says, that before apartheid came to Namibia, Namibians lived together as Africans, guided by the spirit of "Ubuntu'' an ancient African phrase meaning 'humanity unto others'.

Many makeshift homes near riverbeds were damaged or destroyed this rainy season, which has been marked by flash floods, forcing residents to relocate from flood-prone areas.

A memorial service in honour of the late Namibian leader was held at the Namibia High Commission in Accra, Ghana, to reflect on the life and legacy of Dr. Sam Nujoma, the first President of Namibia.
