Newly elected members of Namibia's eighth Parliament have received important resources to help them in their new roles.

Each member will be presented with a copy of the Namibian Constitution, a laptop bag, and copies of a publication discussing the connection between food and energy.

The items are courtesy of the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS), which for years has worked closely with the Parliament of Namibia.

Their collaboration has focused on strengthening democratic governance, promoting the rule of law and supporting institutional development.

The partnership has marked several achievements, including the successful launch of the new parliamentary session last week.

Senior Program Manager Dennis Zaire explained the importance of the Namibian Constitution, describing it as more than a mere book but a foundation of Namibia's democracy—providing guidance on justice, governance, and the protection of citizens' rights.

Speaker of the National Assembly, Professor Peter Katjavivi, praised KAS for its longstanding support.

He said that the partnership between KAS and the National Assembly has been highly successful, contributing greatly to the institution's growth and development.
